About us:

Jellison Construction and Design Jellison Group LLC

My father use to say, “A job done right, is a job well done — and that’s the only way.”

George Jellison started our family design and remodeling company in 1973. He built large custom homes throughout the 70s and found joy and passion by remodeling and renovating century homes. Today, my father’s saying lives on. His values in craftsmanship and attention to detail are instilled in us.

Currently, we are a small family business with six employees. Running the business is myself (David Jellison) and my brother Bryan. We both run it with the help of my wife, Penny, and my two sons, Noah and Luke — along with a long time close friend and valued employee, Chuck Wilson.

After many years of working side by side with two of the best in the business (my dad and grandfather), my brother and I carried on the tradition of knowledge and excellence in our trade by continuing the design and remodeling company. We have always had — and still have — a reputation of high-quality workmanship. Now, we are passing down these same values to future generations.

We excel in kitchen and bath renovations, as well as general remodeling, additions and interior, exterior repairs. We are also a full service condominium contractor. Currently, we’re expanding our business to include more interior painting — hoping to have a full-time painting crew on staff by early next year.

It just seems like a natural progression since my grandfather was a painter most of his life. He did all of our painting until he retired. Both my brother and I worked many summers scraping, prepping, patching and sanding. After — and only after

 — many long hours of prepping, did we get to finally paint. My grandfather had a saying of his own: “The best looking paint job was the result of great prep work.”

Years later, I joined the construction business full time in 1987 — my brother, 1990. We both grew up in the area and graduated from Aurora. Afterwards we attended many different trade schools and now continue our education to stay up to date in all the latest technology in our industry.

We grew up in the business. We love building and fixing things. Also, we have a high appreciation for art and design. Together, through two different perspectives and another from Penny (who graduated from Kent State University with degrees in art and design), we have the ability to create some spectacular projects.

It’s exciting to take a project, design it, build it and exceed

our customer's expectations. We look for new ways to solve existing problems, create warm, beautiful and comfortable spaces. To add, we customize our projects with the best form and function — looking at every little detail to give customers the best possible solution. Our goal is to receive zero call backs for defects.

Most of our work is referral, but once we work for someone, it’s likely they will become lifetime customers and even

friends. The work is mostly completed by our employees from the design to the final coat of paint. However, when we hire sub trades for electric, plumbing and heating, we use the same people who have been with us for 30 plus years. Having this long-lasting relationship helps control the quality we seek.

We’ve had many years of serving and beautifying Hudson and surrounding communities. We look forward to many more with you all.

“Thank you! I have enjoyed doing business with your company. You arrive on time. You do what you say you’ll do. You clean up after you have finished.

That’s GOOD business.” J. B.

“I want to say thank you for all of your hard work. We entertained last night with friends to christen the kitchen. What a wonderful time we had. Plenty of great food and lots of love and laughter! Again thanks to you and everyone at your company.

I love, love, love my kitchen!!!” C. D.
